On the morning of June 24, a 8-member delegation led by President Pramuk and Vice President Pachara of Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi visited HNU. President Guo Haiming and Vice President Song Ye of HNU attended the symposium, along with heads of relevant functional departments and colleges. The symposium was chaired by Zhao Yang, Director from Office of International Cooperation and Exchange.
Guo Haiming extended a warm welcome to President Pramuk and his delegation, and introduced the university's century-long educational history, disciplinary characteristics, as well as its educational cooperation and cultural exchanges with Thailand. He stated that as a member of the “Belt and Road” Initiative, Thailand is an important force in promoting the “Belt and Road” Education Action. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand, it is particularly important to deepen exchanges and cooperation in the field of higher education between the two countries. Henan Normal University is willing to actively explore practical cooperation with the two universities in areas such as teacher and student exchanges, joint training, and cultural exchanges.
In the conversation, Song Ye gave a detailed introduction to the cooperation achievements between our university and Thai universities, and invited outstanding teachers and students from Thailand’s Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi to visit and study at our university, so as to jointly promote the in-depth development of China-Thailand educational cooperation and cultural exchanges.
Pramuk thanked our university for its warm reception and introduced the basic situation and disciplinary characteristics of Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi. He said that the university ranks first among the nine Rajabhat universities directly under the Thai Ministry of Education, is a high-level university among ASEAN science and technology institutions, and is committed to cultivating professionals in science and engineering, covering multiple levels of undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programs. He expressed the expectation to carry out in-depth cooperation with Henan Normal University in curriculum construction, teacher exchanges, and joint training of high-level talents in industry-university-research integration.
At the meeting, both sides watched the promotional videos of the two universities, conducted in-depth exchanges on issues such as teacher visits, two-way study abroad, and internship employment, and reached initial cooperation consensus.
After the meeting, President Pramuk and his delegation visited the School of Computer and Information Engineering and the Oracle Intelligent Laboratory of HNU.
