On the afternoon of May 15, President Podrezov Andreyevich and his delegation from Tula State Pedagogical University (Russia) visited our university. A symposium was held in the Third Conference Room of Qinzheng Building. Vice President Song Ye of HNU attended the symposium, along with heads of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Faculty of Internaltional Studies, School of Chinese and Literature, School of Physical Education, and School of International Education. The meeting was chaired by Zhao Yang, Director from Office of International Cooperation and Exchange.
Song Ye extended a warm welcome to Podrezov and his delegation, and briefly introduced the century-long educational history, disciplinary characteristics, and international cooperation and exchanges of HNU. She stated that as a founding member of the Chinese side of the “Sino-Russian Alliance of Universities of Culture and Art”, our university has always attached great importance to exchanges and cooperation with Russian universities. At present, it has established cooperative partnerships with many Russian universities and achieved fruitful results in teacher and student exchanges, educational and scientific research cooperation, etc. She pointed out that both HNU and Tula State Pedagogical University have prominent advantages in such disciplines as education and linguistics. It is expected that the two universities will take this talk as a starting point to expand cooperation space, promote cooperation in teacher education, language education and international Chinese education, and contribute educational strength to deepening the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between China and Russia in the new era.
Podrezov thanked our university for its warm reception and introduced the development history, advantageous disciplines and international cooperation of Tula State Pedagogical University. He said that the advantageous disciplines of the two universities are highly compatible and the cooperation prospects are broad. He hoped to carry out practical cooperation in teacher-student exchanges, joint training and cultural exchanges in the future.
At the meeting, the two sides held in-depth discussions on teacher exchanges, joint training of students and international student programs in China, and initially reached cooperation intentions.
Before the meeting, Podrezov and his delegation visited the History Museum of Henan Normal University.
It is reported that Tula State Pedagogical University, founded in 1938 and located in Tula, a famous historical and cultural city in Russia, is a public comprehensive university directly under the Russian Ministry of Education. As one of the top 10 normal education universities in Russia, the university has 13 faculties, 84 undergraduate majors and 37 master's degree programs. Its advantageous disciplines include Education and Educational Sciences, Linguistics and Literature, and Physical Education and Sports Sciences.
