报告人简介：
Professor Michele A. Burford is an expert in algal (and cyanobacterial) ecology, food web dynamics, nutrient cycling integrating science across marine and freshwater systems. She has 176 peer reviewed scientific publications, her work has been cited 5,464 times and her career H index is 37 (Publons). She has more than $10M in funding in the last 10 years. She received many academic honors, such as SIL (International Society of Limnology) Baldi Lecture for 2021, Invited plenary speaker, International Society for Harmful Algae, 2021 and Queensland Women in Technology Life Sciences Research Leadership Award, 2016, etc.. She works closely and collaboratively with the water industry, local and state government, fisheries, traditional owners in northern Australia and the aquaculture industry. She has sat on a number of committees including the UNESCO-SCOR funded GlobalHAB program, and is a board member for the Australian Integrated Marine Observing Network (IMOS). She has 21 completed PhD students, and is associate editor for the journals, Limnology and Oceanography, and Inland Waters.
