Journal of Henan Normal University (Natural Science Edition) was established in 1960 as“Joint Journal of Henan Institute of Chemical Technology and Xinxiang Teachers College at first. The Journal is a public publication approved by National Press and Publication Administration, and is a comprehensive academic journal sponsored by Henan Normal University. It is in Genaral Catalogue of Chinese Core Periodicals(2004, 2008, 2011, 2014, 2017, 2020 & 2023), and in WJCI(2021,2022,2023).It has successively won reputations such as“The Six-session Excellent Science and Technology Journal of Henan Province”, “The Distinctive Science and Technology Journal of China's Higher Education”, “The Excellent Edit Quality Award of Science and Technology Journals of National Higher Education”, “The Excellent Science and Technology Journal of China's Higher Education”, “The Top 20 Science and Technology Journals of Henan Province”, etc.
1. Submission
Please register and submit manuscripts via the journal's website (https://hnsx.cbpt.cnki.net/EditorE2N/index.aspx?t=1). Submission from other channels will not be accepted. All authors should ensure that the article is published for the first time.
Please complete and submit the Declaration of Authors (including Conflict of Interest Statement and Author Contribution Statement) to declare the potential conflicts of interest in the research and the contribution of each author to the article, so that the Editorial Office can check that it meets international publication ethics.
To protect the rights and interests of the authors, the Editorial Office will sign the Copyright Transfer Agreement with the authors after accepting the article. Once the article is published, its copyright (including the copyright of the print, CD-ROM and online versions) belongs to the Editorial Office of Journal of Irrigation and Drainage, and the authors need to pay the APC (RMB 500 per page) according to the notified amount. In addition, authors will receive a lump sum payment and two copies of the issue after the article is published in the print journal. Authors who do not agree with the above statement should inform the Editorial Office at the time of submission. In addition, if authors do not receive any notification from the Editorial Office within 3 months of submission, they may handle their article themselves after contacting the Editorial Office for confirmation.
2. Aims & Scope
The journal mainly reports unpublished state-of-the-art achievements and scientific advances in mathematics, physics, electronic information science, chemistry, environmental science, life science, computer science, sports, etc.Manuscripts should be innovative, scientific and readable, and comply with physical quantities, legal units of measurement, and internationally recognized standard of figures and formats. In addition, reviews should embody the authors' unique opinions and viewpoints. The length of articles should not be less than four pages.
3. Manuscript Structure
Articles (including review articles) should be written in the following order: title, authors' names, affiliations, cities, postal codes, abstract in Chinese, keywords, main body (footnotes on the first page, introduction, materials and methods, results and analysis, discussion, conclusion, acknowledgements, references), and English metadata information consist with the Chinese (including title, authors' names, affiliations, cities, postal codes, abstract, keywords).
4. Title
The title of an article should be concise, accurately outline the main idea of the article, avoid unknown and unrecognized abbreviations, and generally not exceed 20 Chinese characters. Headings at all levels of the text should be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals, generally up to 3 levels. English titles should generally not exceed 10 words.
5. Authors & Affiliations
The author list should include all individuals who participated in the research and can provide answers to related inquiries. Authors from different institutions should be indicated with numbers in the upper right corner of their names, and the numbers should correspond to those assigned to the authors. The authors' affiliations should include the full name of the institution, the city or province where it is located, and the postal code. A comma , should separate the institution name and the city or province, and the entire data item should be enclosed in parentheses (). Multiple affiliations should be separated by semicolons ;. The author names in English should follow the format of last name before first name, with the last name in all capital letters and the first letter of the first name capitalized, for example: Wang Mingliang，Liu Yang. Author's contact information should be indicated in the footnote.
6. Abstracts
The content of Chinese and English abstracts should be consistent. They should be independent and self-explanatory, without figures, tables, mathematical formulas, chemical structural formulas, or specialized symbols, terms, and abbreviations. The abstract should include the four essential elements of research: objective, methods, results, and conclusions, without commentary or additional explanations. Review articles may use indicative abstracts. Write the abstract in the third person and use past tense to describe the authors' work and present tense to describe the authors' conclusions. The Chinese abstract should be written as a separate document.
7. Footnotes on the First Page
Received date: The date when the manuscript was received by the Editorial Office, to be filled in by the editor.
Online publication date: The date when the manuscript is officially published online after acceptance, to be filled in by the editor.
Funding: Articles that received funding support should indicate the name of the funding project, with the project number provided in parentheses.
Author's introduction: Author's name (year of birth -), gender, ethnicity (Han ethnicity can be omitted), place of birth, job title, academic degree, research field, E-mail.
Introduction to the corresponding author: Author's name (year of birth -), gender, ethnicity (Han ethnicity can be omitted), place of birth, job title, academic degree, research field, E-mail.
8. Introduction
This section primarily addresses why and how the research problem is being investigated. It provides a concise overview of the background of the article, the research history in related fields (supported by literature), the current state of knowledge, and the author's intentions and analytical basis. This includes the research objectives, scope, and the selection of theoretical and technical approaches. Specialized terms or abbreviations used in the main text should be defined and explained in the introduction.
9. Materials & Methods
This section should include information on the experimental time, location, and materials used. It introduces the overview of the study area, experimental scale, design concept, experimental design, equipment used, specifications of drugs or chemicals, measurement items and methods, and statistical methods employed.
10. Results & Analysis
This section primarily presents the main findings of the research. Based on the raw data and statistical analysis, the information revealed by the data should be presented in a clear and organized manner, with concise language.
11. Figures & Tables
Both Chinese and English titles are requried in all figures and tables,such as“图S1 xxx”"Fig.S1 xxx";"表S1 xxx"“Tab. S1 xxx”.It is recommended to use color images for figures. If software-generated figures are used, the labels and captions should be in Chinese. Figures are ideally sized to accommodate two subfigures in a single row. Additionally, if Excel is used for creating figures, the original data and the corresponding figure should be provided.Expressions such as this figure and the following table are not allowed appearing in the content. Complementary figures and tables can be published online,but not on paper,such as“图S1 xxx”"Fig.S1 xxx";"表S1 xxx"“Tab. S1 xxx”.
12. Discussion
This section compares and comments on the research results with existing findings. When the results are similar or consistent, it should be discussed how the study validates certain aspects. Conversely, when the results differ significantly, it should be explained what is being negated and further analyzed for potential reasons. This section can be interwoven with the Results and Analysis section.
13. Conclusion
A comprehensive and affirmative conclusion should be presented separately. The conclusions should be clear, accurate, concise, and complete, with items numbered as 1), 2), 3), or more. Particularly, the summary of innovative conclusions regarding the research results or methods should be concise and precise.
14. References
References should include literature closely related to the research, especially those published within the last 5 years. Research articles should generally include around 15 references, while review articles should have no fewer than 30 references. The journal follows the sequential numbering system for referencing. If there are up to three main authors, list them all; if there are more than three, use et al. after the third author's name. Separate author names with commas. For specific formatting guidelines, please refer to recently published articles in this journal.
15. Other Requirements
The journal does not accept papers created with tools like Citespace and Meta-analysis. For review articles, the author's independent academic contribution (scholarly insights) must constitute at least one-third of the total article length. Mere compilations of research progress without substantial contributions will not be accepted.
